Hero word webs

So, I had the students brainstorm what they thought a hero was, then they were to create their own word web with their hero in the middle. Just figuring out who their own personal hero is is very difficult for some of them. Lots of mom heros out there. The next step is to get them to write a 3-5 paragraph essay about their hero, then bring in a picture. Permission slips went out today. I'm crossing my fingers!!!!
